After a stint in America as a Professional Baseball player, Ben has now returned home to Australia and is employed here at Sheldon College as a Gym Instructor. Studying at the Queensland University of Technology, Ben is currently completing a Bachelor of Applied Science and Human Movements degree which will grant him the title of Exercise Physiologist. After completing his degree, Ben intends on pursuing a career training Elite Athletes as a Strength and Conditioning Coach, using the knowledge he has acquired from personal experience and that of his degree to enhance the performance of Australia’s fellow professional athletes. At the moment Ben has already designed and runs a strength and condition program for swimmers and has recently been designated the position of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Redlands Baseball Academy program. Being an experienced athlete, Ben has spent the majority of his life in the gym and has had the benefit of being coached and mentored from some of Australia’s best Gym Instructors and Trainers. Through Ben’s own passion for health and fitness and his drive to learn more, he has recently completed his Level 1 Coaching Accreditation and gained Certificates III and IV in Fitness, along with his First Aid. Ben is passionate about the health and fitness industry and finds satisfaction in educating people about the benefits of nutrition and exercise. As a result of this, Ben has developed his own Personal Training business, ‘Body Engineering’ and works out of Sheldon College’s brand new, fully equipped gymnasium, helping people of all ages and fitness levels to achieve their fitness related goals. Ben is a true believer in the idea that exercise should not only be beneficial but enjoyable and promises to provide individually designed programs aimed at meeting his clients own personal requirements while ensuring a rewarding fitness experience.
